I want to share with you our Delphi @ 22 publication that highlights the success of the language and RAD Studio over the years. You can read it here.
It is a great time to be a Delphi developer! We have some of the most powerful toolchains for integrated development of native apps across all major OS, including Windows, Linux, Android and iOS. Our visual frameworks and ready components give you unmatched speed and productivity.
Yet when speaking with some of you, and even analysts, I sense hesitation to commit to our technology. Unlike most alternatives, Delphi has received consistent investment for over 20 years and when it comes to performance, well, few come close. It should not be “your best kept secret.” Delphi is open and integrated like never before. You can create some of the best Windows experiences, but you can also build cross-platform native apps, as well as web apps, and use open REST APIs to connect with pretty much everything.
We released 10.2 a few months ago, accumulating a great set of features and unmatched support for Windows 10 and cross-platform apps. I am particularly excited by the unprecedented momentum of Windows 10 and our ability to truly transform UX experiences. Also, our support for Linux is opening entire new markets. It is a great time to be a Delphi developer!
I am told that it is tough to convince executives that Delphi is still cool.
However, I bet they probably use at least one Delphi app, sometimes they do it every day. They will be blown away to learn that some of the largest ERP’s, ad networks, EHRs and communication platforms run on Delphi with tens of thousands of concurrent users. They do it because of its unparalleled stability and speed!
Delphi is still one of the strongest, fastest and most functional development tool in the market, especially for Windows applications. As a bonus, it’s extremely easy to use and learn. Applications built with Delphi, hands down, outperform any other application in usability and scalability.
We recently surveyed Delphi developers to see how they use our tools. The natural question was, “do you use Delphi to maintain apps or build new ones?” Over 60% were building new apps!... and these were thousands of respondents. Indeed it is a good time to be a Delphi developer!
You will say that I am selling. Absolutely - we all should be! It is the best feeling in the world to be able to sell something that you truly believe in. I encourage you to visit our website or speak with our many partners. Join our growing movement. To close out June, just this week, we are running some awesome promos… let's build some fantastic Delphi apps together!
